The Coup that wasn't
Last year, Supreme court billed Times Now, a news channel with a Cool Fine of INR 1 Billion, for wrongly portraying the photo of a honest Chief Justice with that of a dishonest one. Reporter's guild both Electronic & Print denounced the verdict as a violation of Freedom to Press. Times of India in it's edition a day after the verdict said, they "APOLOGISED" to the Chief for the error. Wow!! Sir, You mean to say 24 Hours of Non Stop bashing can be erased from one's memory by a simple "SORRY". Imagine if I GAG,BAG, & BASH you up & then I say "I AM SORRY, ACTUALLY MY TARGET WAS SOMEONE ELSE, PLEASE FORGET WHAT I DID TO YOU". Then I all Kasab has to say is apologise to the people who have lost their loved ones on 26/11 & we can all go home, hoping everything is in order now.
If you think, this is a 1 off case, then be prepared for more, the Newspaper had made a mockery of our defenders(Armed force) by comparing them with the stooges across the border or with the war lords you see in Africa & Afghanistan.
With tensions brewing between Army Chief & Indian Defence minister.Indian Express carried a front page articles about an army exercise as military coup, similar to the one in Pakistan on October 1999. . It seems the US term about India as a "Backoffice & Outsourcing destination", is true. The Pakistani Propoganda Machinery has outsourced it anti India stand to our private news channels. Some came up with computer generated images depicting how the army made it's move to sieze the capital & take all the elected representatives as hostages & then execute them(Which we Indians love watching it). The reporter of Express didn't show any remorse or guilt for publishing this cooked up story, saying "He stands by his article". Seems this chap has suffered from mental breakdown or he feels India & Pakistan is one & the same country. Before publishing such rubbish he could probably surf the internet or read the history of the Indian Army, before he made a mockery of every Indian's pride. Given the fact that the elected class has chosen to ignore the army, backstabbed them, made them scapegoat but still the army stood by it promise of guarding the Indian constitution. The soldiers families who were gunned down by terrorist are being protected by this elected class, the media continues to question the armies tactics of toting gun instead of roses or chocolates to hard core terrorist, but still the army never turned or slapped any media personnel.
. Ghosh, I wish we had some kind of censorship on this media. It's true too much Freedom is Bad for the nation.

Why I rate Operation Entebbe Over Operation Neptune Spear as the best Special Ops.(pt 2)
In my previous article I had given a gist of the opeation named OP ENTEBBE. Since we all are well aware of Opeation Neptune Spear(Abottabad Operation), I would not go into the details of the Operation. However I would like to highlight why Operation Neptune Spear can't be termed as the best special Ops irrespective of the fact, it was done in a hostile country.
1) US Operation was conducted in a hostile country, where the stake were high is possibly a myth created by US. I know US has nicknamed Pakistan as a Frenemy(Friend cum enemy), the chances of Pakistan army trying to get even with US soldiers by shooting down the chopper does not arise as this would mean loss of Aid & possible backlash to Pakistani's around the world. Israeli had only US as their main ally & majority of the African Union though sympathetic, did not support Israel fearing the wrath of Idi Amin.
2)US Advisers were posted at all major Pakistani airbases to prevent any scramble of F-16 to intercept the choppers. Israeli's didn't have such an advantage.
3) In Case SEAL's were intercepted & forced to land at a major Airbase the chances they would be tortured & questioned was NIL. The Maximum time, to secure their release would be 30 Mins to 1 Hour. Israeli's if captured would be subjected to worst form's of torture, as it's a known fact that Idi Amin was a Psychotic & commited horrible crimes on his political opponents.
4) The US had positioned all it's Aircraft at a heightened state of Alert in Afghanistan & would support them in every stage, however the Israeli Fighter even if scrambled with the support team, would need refuelling before the crossed the Ugandan Airspace.
5) The US only had to take out 1 Man named Osama Bin Laden, Dead or Alive & any person coming in their way would be termed hostile & shot at by US soldier's. While here every Hostage was a human shield & Israeli's had a hard time, sorting out Innocent civilians/hostage with hijackers.
Even though I do agree that both the operation's were not walk in the park, but in light of the above facts, my vote would always go for the Israeli special force. However we didn't have 24*7 news channel in 70's or 80's, to highlight their achievement. This does not mean I hate the Indian Special Force. The Most notable operation's conducted by Indian special force are Jaffna Football ground, Operation Khukri, Operations in 71 war, Operation Ashwamedh, Operation Cactus & Off course 26/11 Operations.

Why I rate Operation Entebbe Over Operation Neptune Spear as the best Special Ops.(pt 1)
May 1st 2011.Location White House."Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, and a terrorist who's responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children." the words of US President Barrack Obama, informing the world the death of Al Qaeeda Supermo Bin Laden. With May 1 round the corner, It's a good bet, that news channel would surely project Operation Neptune Spear, as the biggest Anti Terror ops, complimented with a dramatised account of the entire SEAL operation, with not so famous Indian extras in Fake beard with terrible accent, acting as Osama Bin Ladan & clippings from Hollywood Movies like Black Hawk Down, Behind Enemy Lines(Axis of Evil & Columbia)highlighting their training & equipment.
No Doubt, I do agree that the US President honoured his words to the American Citizen, to huntdown the man responsible for 9/11 & fixing his appointment with God. But to label this as the biggest special ops conducted by any country & No one but America has the capability & courage to do such ops is nothing but cheap marketing. Before you raise any objection, Please read the famous special Ops conducted in 1976 by Israel.
Year 1976: An Air France Flight from Greece with 248 Passengers & 12 Crew took off from Athens,Greece to Paris. Mid Air, Hijackers with ties to Palestian Terrorist Organisation PFLP took control of the aircraft & rerouted the aircraft to Uganda. Uganda then ruled by a despot named Idi Amin, allowed the aircraft to land at Entebbe International Aircraft. To make matters worst, Idi Amin openly supported the Hijackers & deployed his army at the International Airport with a squardon of MIG-17 Aircraft.
In the initial days, Israel tried to solve the hijack issue diplomatically by requesting US & it's influence with Egypt to release innocent passengers, but with diplomacy not resolving the situation, the Israeli cabinet unianimously supported the military option as the only way to resolve the issue. To the world, the Israeli government showed it was willing to accept all demands of the Hijackers. Idi Amin who was to attend the African Union summit asked the Hijackers to be patient & not to kill any Hostages. The Task was handed over to Sayeret Matkal(Equivalent of US Navy SEAL's) to use any & all means to resuce the hostages & what followed next, became a legend to the entire special operation forces around the world.
THE OPERATION BEGNS
On the Night of 4th July 1976, 4 C-130 Hercules aircrafts carrying Israeli Special forces aided by Boeing Aircraft entered Ugandan Airspace. The Aircraft's were painted in Ugandan Presidential colours to depict the Plane carrying the Ugandan President has returned from his African summit. As the Aircraft landed, a Black mercedes emerged from the aircraft with landrovers giving a true & accurate picture of the President's motorcade. Till this minute everything went as planned & it seemed the Ugandan's had taken the bait, but at the main terminal, the sentries realised Idi Amin had replaced his Black Mercedes with a White One. Feeling suspicious, he ordered cavalcade to stop, the special force soldiers in the lead car fired at both the sentries with their silencers & moved on, however unknown to them, 1 of the sentries was still alive, & before he could alert his colleagues, the Israeli soldiers accompanying them in the Land rovers opened fire killing the sentry. With the element of surprise lost, Israeli soldiers fanned out of their vehicles entered the main terminal, shooting at the Ugandan soldiers guarding the terminal. Mossad operatives present in Entebbe Airport guided the soldiers to the room, where the hostages were kept. In the cross fire, 3 civilians & 4 hijackers were killed, the soldiers from the 2nd C-130 Aircraft emerged out of their aircraft headed for the MIG-17's on the tarmac, & took out the aircraft before they could be scrambled. With the Hostages safe, the special ops headed for the aircraft, however a sniper deployed on the Air Control tower took out the Commander of the Israeli Special Force Yonatan Netanyuhu(Brother of the then Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyuhu). The Israeli fired back with an RPG & took out the Air Control Tower. By Morning, the Israeli's had safely extracted the hostage & the special force soldiers along with their dead commander. The total casualty for Israel was 1 dead, while Uganda lost 43 soldiers & loss of face.
Israeli PM in his statement justifed the military action as the only way to safeguard his people. However UN condemend the operation calling it as an agression along with the Arab world.

There War our Nation Part 3(Indian Dilemma)
Like I said in the begining, "Whoever win's, we lose". This is the dilemma that faces India, as it can't forgo both the nations.
If India chooses Iran over Israel: Let's say India Chooses Iran & back stabs Israel again. This time, however Israel is not the forgive & forget kind. It will cancel all defence contracts with India. Indian Armed forces modernisation programme goes for a toss. Shortage of spares for Israeli military equipment will be high, as Israel & Western countries supports Israel's stands. No one will be ready to provide us with spares & in every forum, they will justify Pakistan. India will be once again forced to buy cheap & outdated equipment from Russia at an exorbitant high price. All civilian programmes with Israel will be cancelled. India would thus be denied access to various desalination projects & Research & Development programmes for civilian & military purpose.
If India Select's Israel: Let's say India selects Israel. Supply of Oil from Iran will be stopped. Overnight, oil prices will skyrocket like anything. Common man will call the present Government as nothing but a US stooge. The government will fair badly in all election bound states. It might be termed as anti minority by media. India might lose the only Muslim nation who supported us against Pakistan, as Pakistan is supported by OIC nations who dislike Iran & India. Chances of countering the Pakistani move in Afghan post NATO withdrawal would suffer a serious set back as Iran will not support India in it's move.
In such circumstance's what should be the move of the Indian Government as it has a lot at stake.? An intelligent answer would be the balancing act, try to please both the parties. But the situation so precarious, that you have to choose one side. I would say, do not follow the herd, whoever is the culprit,be it Iran or Israel should be punished, come what may. For once we have to show the world, we have the spine to take hard decisions & we can't be carried away by war mongering.

The MOSSAD Chief now wants to put more pressure on Iran & halt it's nuclear weapon's programme. The ban on Iranian Oil is not making much impact on Iranian economy as India is it's most reliable customer. And the problem with Israel is it can't pressurise the Indian Government as India is traditionally aligned to Arab states & has supported Arab states against Israel in every forum. However Israel in spite of supporting India in every forum even after being backstabbed by India, it can't call of it's ties with India as India is it's biggest arms customer. So the question is how to create a rift in Indo Iranian Relations. The Following is a dramatised Account in Mossad

The chances they would support Iran in it's nuclear programme & world forum would be bare minimum. When the matter will be raised in UN & voting done by member nations, the chances of India supporting Iran would be low due to world pressure. India would be forced to call off all trade contacts with Iran. Thus Iran will be left high & dry, with no trade & neglible foreign reserves. Opposition to the Ayotollah Regime would increase, paving way for an Arab Spring(Revolt) in Iran. We can start arming the opposing forces. Faced with a civil war at home, the Iranian regime would relent & allow UN Inspectors to dismantle it's nuclear facilities. However, care should be taken not to bring any harm to our people in this operation." "MASTER STROKE, Indeed. We can kill 2 birds with 1 stone" said the MOSSAD Chief.

There War our Nation Part 1(Iranian Hand)
2004: "Whoever Wins, we lose", the punchline of Alien Vs Predator a hit Hollywood movie. Circa 2012, location VVIP Area, Delhi date 13th February, a magnetic bomb has exploded on a Toyota Innova car, carrying the Israeli Diplomat's spouse. Within minutes, Georgia has foiled another attempt on Israeli Embassy. The Israeli Government squarely blames the Iranian's for the attack, which Iran denies. The next day similar attack on Israeli Embassy in Bangkok, this time the attacker is identified as an Iranian. An hour later,the Government of Israel assures the world "Whoever is behind this attack, will not be spared". Going by the history of Mossad,they convert their words into action, unlike India who believes in giving blank threats.
Months prior to the incident, the US Administration & European Union cautioned Iran not to continue with it's nuclear programme. They tried coercive methods, which included ban on Iranian oil, freezing of Iranian assets in European countries. All this while Israel started beating the war drum's. In the aftermath, 5 of the top Iranian Nuclear scientist were terminated in blast similar to the one that happened in India. To Make matter worst, Israel promised a sequel of it's famous Osirak Nuclear attack which they conducted in Iraq, if Iran refuses to halt it's nuclear programme. However Iran acted in defiance.
Now the question arises why 2 enemies would choose a Neutral venue for staging an attack. Let's do this from the Iranian Approach & the Israeli Approach.

They tried coercive methods, which included ban on Iranian oil, freezing of Iranian assets in European countries. All this while Israel started beating the war drum's. In the aftermath, 5 of the top Iranian Nuclear scientist were terminated in blast similar to the one that happened in India. To Make matter worst, Israel promised a sequel of it's famous Osirak Nuclear attack which they conducted in Iraq, if Iran refuses to halt it's nuclear programme. However Iran acted in defiance.
Now the question arises why 2 enemies would choose a Neutral venue for staging an attack. Let's do this from the Iranian Approach & the Israeli Approach.
